Hallo togehter,
I would like to buy a DSSD but I have problems to decide between

1. bp Factory from sead
http://www.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/newest-dssd-updated-127724.html

2. Noob factorys v6.1
http://www.puretime.co/product/sea-dweller-deepsea-116660-v61-a2836/ (http://www.replica-watch.info/vb/redirector.php?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.puretime.co%2F product%2Fsea-dweller-deepsea-116660-v61-a2836%2F)

Which one is the best value for the money in the moment? That is the big question. Perhaps anyone of you have both and can say something about the differences of accuracy and built quality or other advantages/disadvantages.

What about a BK DSSD?

Where can I find informations about this one. I thought bp and noob are the best versions yet ... perhaps this was not right ...

BK? version? he is asking value for money, u defently dosent get that with a BK. Bk is a good watch, but value for money? nope.

I would go for the BP version if u get a ring text which is alligned nicely

The sead triangle is good but the pearl's a bit large. I just picked up a V6.1 that I'm very happy with, but if I was going to spend 200+ for the 2836, I'd go with the sead.

BK DSSD is a noob DSSD with BK dw and great QC..You will have a gen ETA for sure under the hood with BK..
But the Bp is way more accurate and cheaper..
Superlumed, nice case shape, better dial and insert...
Would go for it if i was into DSSD..

The BP is hands down the most accurate DSSD out of the box.

Go for the bp factory dssd it has a better glass clad pearl which looks much closer to gen from pics I ve seen. Everthing else seems on par with noob but as mentioned above on qc look closely at gas escape valve and other text on rehaut aligns equally also the dial print make sure its printed well.
I just sold a bk dssd to fund 1
Hope this helps

The BK was the standard for a long time. It's still a great rep. But in this game, someone is always taking it to a higher level. The BP is half the price and a lot more accurate.

If you really want a Swiss movement, buy an ETA 2836 and have it put in.

+1 Unless you get a DSSD from BK, you'll never be sure to gt a NEW eta 2836. You may get an old used eta or a clone. Too bad there's not a SA3135 version. Or is there?

Best rep in the USA has a BK for sale here at a great price, maybe buy that and get in time aka Ryan Wayer to send you an updated bezel insert so you have the new pearl and blacker insert ?having a good reliable eta might save you some heart break later.I know Ryan can get these inserts as I got one from him recently.

Thanks for the plug! My BK DSSD is solid and very fair price. And have good feedback here but great over at RepGeek!

BK also adds some extra work that other dealers don't do like new gaskets etc

Hit me up!

Your watch is a great buy.I paid over $600 for my BK with the pbdad lume and peal etc.I got a new updated bezel insert of Ryan for about 25 plus shipping and I looks great.I like knowing ive got an eta in there and if I was this buyer I'd go for yours and update the insert

That is right. It is a great watch. But I live in GER and I am afraid of the custom without triangle shipping over UK. I dont think this is a possibility?

Shipping from the US shouldn't be a problem but a triangle shouldn't be too hard.

Is it possible for a watchsmith to change an a2836 with an eta 2836 without problems? And have both watches (bp factory / Noob factory) the same dimensions, so that I can mod seads bp like the watch from noob factory?

Would BK not start using the noob or bp factory versions and adding in his mods etc, I would think this would be the absolute best DSSD available then

BK DOES use the noob version. I think he might have some sort of dealings with the noob factory. If i remember correctly, he wont even mod a v7 (trevor dssd), so im not sure he would touch a BP version. Time will tell i guess..

The BP looks really good. How is the super lume on these? Sead's pictures don't really look that bright.

Same as every other "super lume ". It is better than the noob, which is non existent.

I would go with BK Dssd. Just purchased one. Swiss eta movement under the hood and has been personally modded by Bk

You're still better off buying it with the Asian 2836. If you want a Swiss that badly, find one that you know is genuine and have it put in. You can do all this for less than a BK sub, and you will have a more accurate watch.

+1 on this

For the noobies out there, heres the scoop on the Swiss ETAs in the reps...

Theres been alot of reports of people ordering Swiss ETAs in their reps and getting either 1)asian clones or 2)used ETAs or 3)cobbled ETA/clone crossbreeds.
(BK being the only for sure exception to this rule, BK only sells real swiss)
Its not the dealers fault, they are only going by what their suppliers are telling them.
So if you order a swiss from the dealers, its a crap shoot...somtimes the are, somtimes not.

Anyone know whats the tells of the BP Factory DSSD from a Gen?

I bought a BP Factory Sub-C and it was way too small but knowing a DSSD is bigger, i wouldn't mind buying one. Also going to put it on a Nato Strap & use it as my daily beater.

I was about to start a topic just like this. All the reply's have answered all the questions I would have asked except one, My question is if I was to buy the Noob DSSD which is the one I am thinking about getting could I send it to BK to have him do his mods to it at a later date?

Once again thank you guys for all the great info.

BK may do the mods, but he's usually got a line of people waiting for watches. It could be a long wait.

Thank you for your reply. Both watches look good enough to wear till such a time that BK can do his mods to the one I get. So I don't think it would be to bad of a thing to have to wait a while to turn something that is already good in to something that will be great.

But why would you buy the noob, when the BP is cheaper and more accurate ? Even with BK's mods, the BP is a more accurate DSSD.
