Re: which dealers?
Quote:
1. All the bodies are from local dealer, cheap, low cost with CN6497. So far I prefer CN6497 over the Swiss ETA6497 for the hand wind movement. I have several of CN6497 and they have no problem at all. They also keeps good time. I don't see any big lead or lag on time keeping. If there is one, maybe it is chance for me to adjust around on the pin setting to zero offset this. 2. The 1st model is 2-hand base. The dial is sandwich dial from DVN with my own work on cannon pin fix. Strap is from TCStraps. The actual case will be somewhat darker than normal Ti case. The dealer I bought from, he played around by boiling the case in hydrogenperoxide to darken the case. So it matched quite well with the yellow indexes, I think. 3. The 2nd model, brown dial is original. Nothing is done on it except the strap is from Bob. I will find sometime to do the cannon pin fix. The cannon pin is ready in my drawer from DVN. 4. The 3rd model, 3-hand, the dial is sandwich dial from DVN. Also cannon pin fix on my own. Strap is from Bob. 5. The last model, 2-hand base, the dial is original. I try to make it as PAM176G so it has clear back. Then I replace the movement on my own using E movement from Andrew. This movement comes with high cannon pin installed. So no need work on cannon pin fix. The strap is from Bob. The original dials don't have good lume though. So I did not pay much attention to it. But the DVN dials have good lume. But on the actual use, the lume is more like a bonus to me. Maybe I need more motivation to do lume myself. Also could not find good instruction on lume application much on RWI. Unlike cannon pin fix, there are quite good information so I can do it myself. Hope this information helps. |
