NOOBS/NEW MEMBERS PLEASE READ

A lot of new members have been asking about various sites they find, wanting to know if they're scams, ripoffs, etc. This happens quite often, but with the influx of new members, I think it needs to be re-visited. I'll explain this in a minute, but first: If they're not a dealer here, the chances are about 99.99999% that it is a SCAM SITE, simple as that.

Although this seems a little pompous, or even misleading, IT'S TRUE. Many, many members here have been actively collecting, buying and studying rep watches for YEARS. The quest for the best watch, deal, mod, etc. is never-ending, but what you find on RWI is the collective expertise and experience of people from all over the world (literally) that have seen, examined, and evaluated every dealer and source out there.

The dealers that are here have either been picked, or put through a VERY strict process to allow them to deal here. We monitor them, and if they go astray, we REMOVE THEM....simple as that. Unlike some other places, we don't make any money from them......no kickbacks, free watches, no nothing, so if they're not providing an honest service to our members, we "off" them.....they can go sell somewhere else.

Is there a good dealer out there, somewhere, that's not a dealer on this board and that sells a high quality product at a fair price, and that wouldn't jack our members around?........MAYBE. BUT, our dealers stock or can find ANYTHING that http://www.buyawatchfromme.rip can offer. You won't find our dealers selling crap, though, so if you see a watch that you want, but the only one that offers it is some slick website, it's a piece of FANTASY CRAP. If that's what you want, that's fine, but we can't help you here.

It is truly a jungle out there, and most veteran members wound up on the honest forums because they got scammed, just like the noobies today. Don't feel bad, nothing to be embarrassed about, but there's simply no need to go exploring the hundreds of pop-up ads and junk e-mail hawking these scam sites....and they ARE ALL scam sites. Sorry, the grass isn't greener on the other side of the barnyard.

I just don't understand why someone that has found RWI would even consider buying, or even looking at anything from somebody that wasn't a dealer or member here, or at one of the very few other honest forums that we've provided links to (but stay here, we're nicer and we got a goat).

How true and well spoken. 4 years ago a bought from the scam sights. Now I would not even consider buying from anyone except a dealer here. They are the best and this forum is heads and shoulders above some of the others.

Good to see that there is actually some integrity in such a notorious business.....I have seen both the good and the bad of this whole replica scene.....This forum is a precious thing....seriously!

I get mildly insane when people ask if www.isellcheapknockoffreplicawatches.com is a good site, when this forum exists and lists the reputable dealers right at the bottom!!! I am no expert by any means, and am still a 80% noob, but good god, even I know who to deal with around here.

I do-not-understand-it!!!!

I know I have been burned a few too many times, and have kinda given up on the replica scene- until now. I very much fight for the underdog, and although I have several genuine watches, the thought of a six thousand dollar stainless divers watch that was half that 10 years ago is ludicrous. I don't see it. I sincerely appreciate the efforts of some of the forum members on bringing the replica world to a whole new level.....friggin' incredible. Never thought I'd see stuff like this out there. I know where I'll be buying my next few watches from....by the way, anyone out there have a WM9 V2 stainless Submariner with a black dial they are willing to part with for a reasonable price? That's the Holy Grail for me- because it's one of the most duplicated and the least got right. You guys bring the thunder to the replica underground movement....ROCK ON!!
