Pics of the collection: New, Old, Auto, Quartz
Got a nice day to take some pics. THIS is an eclectic collection, and while some may frown on quartz movements, I'm OK with that. It's about the look.
Snoopy is from sometime in the late 70s and just couldn't give him up. My dad had a Longines just like the LeCoultre pictured here (my brother has that one), but I really like the face on my Longines with the roman numerals and their angle. The Tissot? Dude, you touch it and it does stuff. Cool! The ML is new. The Sub is a PVD by fakemaster, I added the striped NATO (instead of solid black) You can see from my lack of editing that I beat the crap out of my watches. Not on purpose, just lazy wrists as I walk by stuff. Especially on the Swiss Army. That's TOTALLY my weekend beater. Joe Cool Playing Tennis ![]() This was probably my grandfathers: ![]() Fakey Sub PVD Maxi with Striped NATO (my first rep, and really can't go wrong with a watch that survived a freakin' diving bell). Wow. I took a nice pic. ![]() MY NEW GEN!!! ![]() My Herc Homage. First RWI purchase. Wore it all weekend at a meeting. (keeps great time, and how many people really know about Panerai?). Waiting for a PAV91 leather strap I bought last week. The white stitching is nice, but the strap looks like vinyl (Do they still make naugahide? Did I even spell that correctly?) ![]() Got this LP from Chronoshark. Has an IWC look, big face contrasted nicely by the black subdials, black strap that doesn't look cheezy at all, I added a SS deployant. ![]() This Tissot does stuff when you touch it. It's my bracelet/black face watch. Plus, the compass helps me navigate in new cities. ![]() The Longines: Love the face and how the lower numerals angle in towards the middle. Directs the eye. ![]() BEATER!!! OMG. What did I DO to this thing?

For me, the Lucien Piccard was a very nice change of pace. A touch of class. The Herc also got me to thinking about a Pam for next time.
Very nice, and thanks for taking the time to post the pics.

My wife wants to know more about the gold watch on the right. I assume it's vintage? Thanks!

...don't worry my friend, there's strength in numbers; and you are not alone. At the ripe old age of 63, I have succumbed to the "disease" of the collector, and I love it!! (wife thinks I'm nuts, but she's right!). Very nice exotic collection of some brands I had forgotten about. Good show!! Thanks!!

Yeah, was my father in laws. Got it from his mother's friends before we went into the army for the Korean war. He didn't die. It's a Wittnauer.
scroll down on this RWI post for a couple more pics. http://www.replica-watch.info/vb/sho...and-51748.html I like the numbers, kinda like the vintage PAMs. Feel free to PM me or email through the site if you'd like to talk more.

Thanks. Very nice Witt there. The wife has a weakness for the vintage dials, and the smaller cases are better suited for her wrist size. I like the dials, too. Funny how I have become more comfortable with the larger cases. Oh well.

Nice collection you've got going there. I especially like the vintage LC, as I have a penchant for vintage watches myself. And that Herc is just AWESOME!!!! ;-)
And, for what it's worth, you couldn't have said it better: "It's about the look." I have a lot of watches from vintage, to quartz, and from cheap to expensive... and it really is all about the look. Thanks for sharing!
