Hi all,
I'm pretty much on RWI everyday when I get home from work, reading as much as I can, but I hold back on posting at the moment as I have only one recent rep (GMT IIc) and am waiting until I have some value to add to threads (cars/ track days - I can talk all day long, reps - I'm still learning). I made a recent purchase from Narika of the 42 and 45mm PO's, and have let my brother have the 45mm as I think it may be too big for my wrists and its his birthday this week. The transaction was great and the watches arrived yesterday..... in the UK. ... unfortunately I'm working outside of the UK at the moment so have to wait to see them, however I think I may have just got my brother hooked, as he was impressed by the quality and price and started asking about other brands. Fortunately for him, he has much bigger wrists than me and therefore has a whole world of PAMS, Breitlings and other watches to choose from. I'll ping him this thread and hopefully he'll join RWI and post some pics of the new arrivals. I think there's some great pics going up on the forum at the moment, some controversial threads and a great deal of effort from the mods and admins to get people more involved in the forum. I thought the Scurvy Treasure hunt by JellyJoe was fantastic (I couldn't get one clue though) and Guru's wrist check competition was again a great effort at getting everyone involved (with only 2 watches in my collection I couldn't add value to that one). I really want to be more involved in the forum and the time will come when I feel I can add value to discussions - at the moment I'm learning as much as I can and hoping to build up a well chosen selection of awesome reps, guided by a valuable forum. Next watches for me: -I loved Spirits YM review - so I need to research what to look for in one of these and then ask a dealer -I'm thinking one of the spinmaster/ DW type vintage Daytona's .. and I suspect my brother will be getting hooked and joining me in purchases very soon ![]() thanks all. Advuk, get to posting, man! If we only allowed valuable posts, my count would be about 4 and a half.
![]() Way to spread the addiction to your family! My dad and brother-in-law both have reps and love them.

cheers guys!
I guess some of it is also about the fact there's sooooo much info already on the site and using the search function normally answer's most questions - I've seen a few people flamed for this already ![]() I'll definitely get contributing more, I'm on here enough, so be prepared for my noob questions! my brother is now telling me his PO second hand is stopping around 55 - 57 seconds.. Im just discussing with him to find out more info: - I've told him to make sure its fully wound to start with as its been in transit. - whether its "after" 55 seconds or at the 55 "mark" - also to see if hands are hitting anything and then we can take it from there |

I started posting here before I had any pieces at all (minus that Canal St purchase). It will educate you and make you laugh everyday. Some of these folks will even become your friends
i talk about stuff that you guys do to my wife. This board is great. Prop your feet up and make yourself at home. |

Study study and when in doubt study! I don't have a ton of reps, Hell I don't have any right now, but that's changing in a day or two. The point is that you don't need a lot of watches to enjoy this hobby, find a model you like and get it and mod it. The wealth of knowledge is amazing, I just made an adjustment to my Gen Glycine Combat Chrono 7750 movement, all because I studied what's on these forums!
