I agree completely.

1200 x $25 = $xx,xxx.xx in lifetime member fees.

$200/month = $2,400/year in expenses.
The server expense seems to covered for 12 years (12.5, but we'll leave out the .5 to cover 6 new versions of vBulletin).

I got in by using Google Chrome even though the hiccups are frustrating we just have to be patient, not entirely sure what's going on technically hopefully things will be resolved soon.

If you tick off the 'remember me' box when you log in, it works (for me)

Ticking off "Remember me" box under the password box is the key. Worked right away for me. Been trying to get on for two days. Argggg! Valuable addiction time lost. Surfing RWI has been fun though. Great bunch of guys to allow all us geeks access and assistance. Cheers.

$200 per month sounds a bit high. Half that at most, and more likely about 1/4th that, at least with RG's current web host server company.

RG uses the EuroVPS company, in the Netherlands, for their hosting.

EuroVPS's most expensive "normal" web hosting package runs €34.95 per month, includes 200GB of bandwidth and 40GB of storage space, and comes with 8 domains. (€1 = $1.20)

If for some unknown reason RG absolutely has to have a Managed VPS host package instead, then EuroVPS's most expensive, of all the web hosting packages it offers, runs €79.95 per month, with 8TB of bandwidth and 100GB of storage space. That's for people who want unlimited domains, unlimited ftp accounts/email accounts/webmail accounts, etc. Their low end Managed VPS hosting runs €39.95 per month, with the difference of having "only" 2TB of bandwidth and 20GB of storage space (or many times more than any web forum site needs)

BTW: RG averages about 1700 visitors per day, for 250,000 page views per month total, has changed servers 8 times in the past 3 years, and has changed IP addresses 5 times in the past 3 years since the domain was created.
