Bronsy:
Getting better but not there yet. Try using just two vertical rows of pictures. I still think the photos of the watches need to be larger to be more striking. And then you need to pick really attractive photos; the kind that make people say: I want to see more of those.

Just my ideas. I am not Admin. I don't judge the contest, they do. I may be waaay off from what they want.

Not bad advice at all. The masthead is the first thing newbies see after all. All input is valued mate, admin or not.

Bronzy: My first impression now is: better but still comes across as "messy." Somehow it lacks "pop" and a compelling desire to see more of those photos. Maybe my idea wan't a good one after all. Maybe you have to see the larger pictures to really see the beauty in the watches. I have seen jaw dropping photos posted in RWI but maybe they have to be seen at a larger size to have that "pop." Maybe it is just a matter of which photos are place in the clear areas (the photos under the letters don't need to "pop." If you went with only one row instead of two you would gain larger size which may help the "pop" factor but could only use about 4 photos which would be unobstructed by letters. That may be too few.

For example, this one has "pop' and simplicity. I like it a lot. It is a very good graphic design to me.

But this is all just my personal opinion. I don't claim to be an authority on graphic design.
