Sapphire vs. Mineral crystal ??
I understand that a sapphire crystal is more durable, almost unscratchable, but what about the mineral crystal? I am expecting one watch that has the mineral crystal, and wanted to wear a white gold bangle with it. Do you think I run the risk of scratching the face of the watch? Those of you who have experience with mineral crystals, how easy is it to scratch?? Thanks

Mineral crystal is just plain old glass. But I doubt if a bangle will affect it, especially as soft as gold is.

Gold won't hurt it beau. Go for your life.
One advantage Mineral Crystal has over Sapphire is that Mineral is not as hard as Sapphire so altho it will scratch easier it is a lot harder to break. Mineral has some give, Sapphire has none. Col.

i have found on some of the cheaper reps with mineral crystals that the glass causes distortion at some angles and can sometimes even be cloudy or milky in appearance at some angles.
