Who can the RWI reps fool?

Hello guys.

Ive been reading so much on here and I have came to the conclusion that even the cheaper $100 dollar reps would fool 99% of joe public.

How close to the gen article are the best reps on RWI from the trusted dealers?

Would one of the better reps here be able to fool your standard high street jeweller or watchmaker. I know that no matter how good the rep is, it would never make it past an AD. Did anyone ever get feedback from an AD about the quality of the best reps out there?

One poster on here said that here on the RWI is the cream of the best on the rep market, so there really must be something of that statement for sure.

Many dealers don't know. They are in business to sell product. It's only perhaps a few who are also watch fanatics that might notice. The sales staff usually won't.

Most people don't care enough to scrutinize your time piece. Most rep owners don't care enough to try to tell people they're gen.

Some reps are quality enough to be taken as gen until you open them up to see the movement. There's a list on here of great "out of the box" reps if that's your cup of tea.

I can look it up for you if you'd like.

All I can say is if you drive a Porsche don't rock your fake Sub' at the AD in the mall.

Why not? I drive a BMW and wore a rep PAM into Tourneau a few times. On the wrist there are plenty of $200-300 reps that you'd never get called out on. Are you saying people with nicer cars should just buy gens? Don't get your point...
