The problem with finding the foreign language one is that I'd have no idea what I was reading....lol!

It has been some interesting finds while searching her name. Here's a wonderful web site with a lot of info on many different watchmakers from different centuries. You have to select the century you want on the left hand side of the page.

This is a link to a post on Time Zone. The gentleman who started this thread speculates that the short hand on the Submariners has a "Mercedes" symbol on it because of Mercedes Gleitze. This is later disproved in the thread.
