Ok, you have cast your votes and a winner has been chosen... February was a great month for RWI, with lots of interesting and valuable posts, ranging from great photographic tutorials to beautiful pictorials and photos of mates sharing their passion for watches. The posts that were nominated were all winners already... but only one can be declared the post of the month. And the winner is...
Guru: Rolex GMT II C V2 and V3 comparison Congratulations guru!! What a great contribution. I'm sure that your post will remain an important reference to RWI members for a long time. To all of you guys out there, with these kind of posts the forum will hold his value and we all live from it. What I can't believe is that we only got 28 votes. This is ridiculous....out of over 22000 members only 28 were interested in it? This cannot be and I really would appreciate it if more members will vote next time. We need YOUR posts, and these posts will make RWI to the best forum.

Guru as usual you are spot on. Post of the Month is a terrific feature for all and especially for those of us that are Adolescent Noobies (I have promoted myself from being a mere Noob
) trying to learn. I read the forum every day as work will allow, but I totally missed the vote. My vote would have probably gone to the winner as well, but there were many very good posts in February. Looking forward to the rest of March.Anyway, I did I miss the vote?? There are only two reasons that I can think of for a forum member to not participate in the POTM. 1. They just can't choose and may not want to favor one individual over another. Or 2. They just missed it as I did. Rooster would it be possible for the POTM voting to be posted for a couple of days same as an "Announcement"? If it was an Announcement then I apologize for just missing it. The POTM feature should have at least a couple hundred participants each month in my opinion or more. I for one thank the forum Mods for promoting ideas that give all members more to think about. Besides, for me now days at my age Quality over Quantity is becoming more and more the norm. Did I just say that?

Anyway, for next month we'll definitely consider ways to better publicise the voting and get more participation. |
