Thumbs up Winner of February 2010 Post of the Month [PRIZES AWARDED]

Ok, you have cast your votes and a winner has been chosen... February was a great month for RWI, with lots of interesting and valuable posts, ranging from great photographic tutorials to beautiful pictorials and photos of mates sharing their passion for watches. The posts that were nominated were all winners already... but only one can be declared the post of the month. And the winner is...

Guru: Rolex GMT II C V2 and V3 comparison

Congratulations guru!! What a great contribution. I'm sure that your post will remain an important reference to RWI members for a long time.

If anyone hasn't yet had the opportunity to check out the winning post, you can find it here:

http://www.replica-watch.info/vb/sho...9.html?t=50199

Please join me in congratulating guru for snapping up yet another RWI award!

The award for best post of the month consists of the following:
  • A POTM badge of honour has been added to guru's signature (thanks to JellyJoe for creating it!)
  • The post has been made a sticky
  • A surprise prize will be sent directly to guru. Our official bearer of good news, AHW, will announce soon what the February prize is.
Thanks everyone for taking part in the poll, and also thanks for continuing to make RWI such a great place through your quality posts!

AHW676: "Good Lord. Tell me you didn't just post that. I'm guessing that seanf is going to make this your sig, just so you know."

seanf: "Um, yup. What can I say? I'm a petty, petty man."

Please do not PM questions which you can post on the boards, I won't answer them : besides a question that is asked on the boards and finds an answer will be profitable for all the members. Thank you.

Thanks Roo for your poll and the announcement. I think all posts were great and deserved an award. Also thanks to JJ designing the award. Now I am looking forward to the surprise prize... and now the questions, snapping up another RWI award ? This was my first.....

To all of you guys out there, with these kind of posts the forum will hold his value and we all live from it. What I can't believe is that we only got 28 votes. This is ridiculous....out of over 22000 members only 28 were interested in it? This cannot be and I really would appreciate it if more members will vote next time. We need YOUR posts, and these posts will make RWI to the best forum.

Guru as usual you are spot on. Post of the Month is a terrific feature for all and especially for those of us that are Adolescent Noobies (I have promoted myself from being a mere Noob ) trying to learn. I read the forum every day as work will allow, but I totally missed the vote. My vote would have probably gone to the winner as well, but there were many very good posts in February. Looking forward to the rest of March.

Anyway, I did I miss the vote?? There are only two reasons that I can think of for a forum member to not participate in the POTM. 1. They just can't choose and may not want to favor one individual over another. Or 2. They just missed it as I did.

Rooster would it be possible for the POTM voting to be posted for a couple of days same as an "Announcement"? If it was an Announcement then I apologize for just missing it.

The POTM feature should have at least a couple hundred participants each month in my opinion or more. I for one thank the forum Mods for promoting ideas that give all members more to think about.

Besides, for me now days at my age Quality over Quantity is becoming more and more the norm. Did I just say that?

Mod of the year, guru. Also, how about that midget mud wrestling award you won last year? Or was that meant to be a secret?

Anyway, for next month we'll definitely consider ways to better publicise the voting and get more participation.
