Is there anyone from Austin?
The Austin members are more than welcome to join us at the Houston GTG. It's a short drive (less then brtelec coming from Louisiana!) and would be worth your time.
I'm in Austin, and considering driving up for the GTG.....only have 2 watches now though...GMTIIC and DSSD V3
It would be great to have you guys from the Austin area. As 2003mach1 said, I drive about 3.5 hours to get to the GTG. It is worth the effort. The number of watches you currently have is irrelevant. It gives you a chance to talk to folks that are equally as sick as you are, and you get to handle watches that you may be thinking about buying but have not seen. The other thing about it, you get to have a nice lunch and meet some really nice people, myself excluded, I'm a dick.
Does anything ever happen in North Texas (Dallas)? I'd love to go to the Houston GTG's, but that's about 7 hours or more each way. But if nothing ever happens up here, I'll have to make the trec... or fly Southwest.
You know Roger there are a couple of other guys in the Dallas area. You should try posting about interest on all three forums and see if you can get something together.
but... that would involve effort on my part.
I'm much better at just showing up. Too many years of marriage, I guess.
brtelec is right. Watches or no, everyone is welcome. You will meet some great people, br excluded , and have a good lunch. It is definitely cool to try on everyones watches. No one ever seems to mind letting others handle their watches.
But... we are all sick!
New Austin guy here. 0 reps so far. I am actually looking for a watch smith that will work on Asian clones before I pull the trigger. Any recommendations?
There are modders on here based stateside that will work on reps, even 1 in Texas.

Who Is the modder in Texas? Maybe in Louisiana?
