There has been some discussion of a Michigan GTG soon. Lets start planning in this thread.
I spoke with member Star and he is interested in coming as well from Northern Ohio. (It's ok, he's a Michigan Man! )

A site which seems to be a good middle point is Troy. We could visit Tourneau which is located in the Somerset Collection 2801 W. Big Beaver Rd. Space D102 Troy, MI. and have a lunch in one of the fine resturants in the mall there.

Saturdays are good for me, maybe not for everyone else. To give everyone some time to plan why dont we look at something after April 1st. It would be nice to have a turnout like the one in San Fransisco.

Let's make sure we point all of our Michigan and Northern Ohio members to this thread.

If anyone knows how to get in touch with jburton, please let him know! I havent seen him on lately.

    THANKS TO ALL WHO ATTENDED!

I'd be in. I'm from the Fort Wayne, northern Indiana area. There's another Fort Wayne RWI member around the boards. I'll track him down and let him know about this thread also.

I've still been popping in everyday but I've been really busy with work, so I haven't been posting much.

As you know D4M, I am definitely up for a GTG. By the way, I don't see LWA (Thumb) ringing in on this. I wonder where he is at.

I can do every other Saturday because of my wife’s work schedule. I’ll check her schedule and let you know what will work for me.

Good point. I wonder if this will be the first official multi-state, international, GTG?

How far is Troy from Chicago? Is it around 6 hours or so?

Of course the other half and I will come, that is if girls are allowed. If not, I can go in the Coach store and make a few purchases :D

    swanky mall

If you bring the ladies, expect this to be an expensive GTG. This is one great mall with incredible high end stores. Some stores you need a co-signer just to get in
What concerns me most is that we don't get up to Sommerset very often, but almost every time, a sales person will greet my wife by name at one of the stores (usually a shoe store) her shoe collection is visible from space.

    Lemme know when

    200 miles

Guys - I's love to be there, but that's just a bit far for me from Sunny Clevelandia. Any chance of an event halfway inbetween, say in Toledo?

If not, then we'll do an event in Cleveland another time.

    Sorry to miss out!

    The Saturdays in April are the 7th, 14th, 21st & 28th.

I dont see a problem with any of these dates, I know there are some dates that wont work for some so,, what say you??

Also,, I dont know anything about the restaurants in the mall there and I cant tell much on line.
It would be nice if there was a nice brewery somewhere in there.

Tentatively, I can do the 14th or the 28th. I’ll have to check my wife’s schedule to be sure.

Also, I have some friends that live up towards the mall. I can ask them what they know about the eats.

an idea of the eats would be
    the capital grille = highend
P.F. Changs, asian fair = moderate
    california pizza kitchen = lowball

they are all great places and there are many more surrounding the mall within a half mile or so.

Yum! I love P F Chang's in Somerset South. Also looks like there is a TGI Friday's near the mall on W. Big Beaver, that would have a full bar too.
