That seems a bit expensive for that watch. You only need an asian 2824 or 2836 movement, you should ask around the people in the general Rolex thread, There is not much knowledge or action in this thread for you to get a good answer, i know JF is a good factory. You might email Sead at supermirrors and ask him what are the options with this watch as far as quality, factory and movement. Sead is my favorite dealer for two years and can get anything that is made.

Dear Thrasher,
Thank you very much for your kind reply.
I will ask in the general Rolex thread and for sure I will contact Sean.
So, do you think that the price of the linked watch is too expensive? Do you think that the asian 2824 or 2836 are better movements?
Thank you again for your precious information.

Its seems very expensive for that watch unless its considered a super rep so accurate that most people would not know the difference, Use the search button up top and search that model and associated keywords

His Name is Sead and he is a great dealer who will get the best at the best price sead1999

Thanks, Thrasher. Sead tell me to skip this time. I am a bit afraid, because I really like the watch... But it's OK, I can wait until a better movement will be used. Thanks again.

Noobie here with a silly question, I'm just getting into reps (I have 3 gen Rolexes already) and looking at the noob explorer ii. On the pure time website they have a nube version at 178 and another at 328, just trying to gauge what the difference is in quality as I'd like to get in to this cheaply and build up rather than go all out on full costed version. I'm not so worried about lume or things not being totally accurate I'm just looking to see what all the hype is about and whether reps these days are better than the pice of crap I picked up in Turkey 20 years ago.

cheers

As far as I know the puretime website lists the specifications. If you read them you would notice they have different movements.
I get that you're new but 99% of your questions can be answered by reading the threads here.

I see you haven't read a thing if you still believe todays reps are no better than cheapo old reps.

Thanks for your reply which I have to say I have found incredibly offensive! I have read through all 38 pages of this thread and there is not a comparison between the versions I'm talking about. That's why i asked the question, of course I get that the movement is different, but from reading these forums paying more for the movement doesn't actually mean the watch is any better (like the Swiss versions often described as re-built junk). All I really wanted to know from someone knowledgable was am I really going to see the difference in quality of case, lume, reliability, and cyclops (seems that this is one of the things that's potentially better on the more expensive version) for my extra 150.

It's the same watch, just a different movement.. QC is always hit and miss, no matter if you buy a 150$ or 300$ rep. You'll get QC pictures and if there's something that you do not like, as the cyclops for example, you can request another one. There's no guarantee the next one will be better though. Also, I wouldn't step out of the door if that's already incredibly offensive to you. Shall we reserve a safe space for you? :)
